Make Olympic Dream a Reality with Skateboarding

Urgent plea to help a young boy’s Olympic dream become a reality ✈️

Last Sunday (16/04), 14yo Taylor won Men's 1st place at Skateboarding GB (SBGB) Park’s National Championship. Men’s, not boys, MEN'S! What a feat!

From this win, he has just received an invitation from SBGB to compete in the Olympic Qualifying event taking place in Argentina in May 2023 (yes in 4 weeks time).

This means we are fingertips away from making Olympic dreams a reality. He has the talent, now we need to crowdfund, and fast, to get him there…

This is a remarkable opportunity for Taylor, and it could have a significant impact on his skateboarding career.

He considers it an honour to represent his Sport, his local area of South East England, (and his Scottish Mum and a little Irish lineage in there, we are just missing the Welsh) as well as being part of Team GB.

We only have 4 weeks to do this!!!!!!! Come on people - help us get him there.

In Taylor's own words:

Hello, my name is Tay Cunningham, a 14-year-old skateboarder from Margate, Kent, UK.

I believe that there's a sport out there for everyone, and for me, it's skateboarding.

I just won the Men’s park comp at SBGB and that has given me the opportunity to skate in Argentina and further possible world events later in the year. My ultimate goal is to make it to the GB Skateboarding Team and be part of Team GB at the next Olympics.

I am reaching out for help to make my dream a reality. As skateboarding is a new event at the Olympics, the support structures are not in place yet. I will need to self-fund this journey.

Any funds raised will go towards supporting my travel expenses, including flights, taxis, accommodation, entry fees and insurance, as well as food costs. If we raise over our target, this will help me attend further events and qualifiers.

Here's some information about me:

- I skate "Goofy”

- I am a transition skater

- I love skating, it’s great to learn new tricks and come back and do it again, and again, and everybody can do it!

- favourite trick = front blunt

- dream trick = Varial 540

- I support NextGen skaters by teaching kids at my local skatepark
