Make The Lake Great

Cabarita Community Inc has just taken over the management of the old sailing club building and we are hoping to raise enough money to cover expenses for the next 12 months along with making some general improvements to the facilities along the way!  This building is already in great condition and has great resources but we think it can be even better with a little help.

Our ultimate goal is to continue working on projects that will improve the condition of Lake Hawthorn and advocate for new walking/bike trails around the lake, along with new tree plantings and general environmental/community activities. 

We also offer general community support e.g.  Merbein Golf Club new clubroom project, The Lake Primary School and other projects.

Our members advocate for improvements with local council, and other government agencies and are constantly working for the communities interests.

We envisage the buildings will be utilised by local clubs and organisations as well as being an environmental classroom for local schools, or even a conference room with a view for local business and government agencies....
