Make West Limerick home for 2 Afghan families

We have started a GoFundme page to support two Afghan friends and their families who hope to make Ireland their new home.

I know most of us have seen the terrible events in Afghanistan over the last few weeks and this is an opportunity to help provide safety and support to two families in their time of need.

Liam worked in Afghanistan with Concern Worldwide in 2016. During his time there he worked alongside fantastic people who were working to improve the lives and rights of everyone  in their country. Two former  colleagues of Liam, along with their families have recently secured asylum in Ireland. Both families now face the difficult task of leaving Afghanistan and at present there is no guarantee this can be done safely but we remain hopeful.

 

In order to resettle these two families in Ireland, we have committed to finding  suitable homes for them both and to assist with any supports they may need when they first arrive.

We would really appreciate if people could donate any small amount to help us create a welcoming and safe home for our friends who have been through so much. 

If for for any reason our families do not make it to Ireland, all money will be directly donated to Concern Worldwide’s humanitarian support in Afghanistan.
