ABOUT JUDE & HIS TREATMENT


Meet sweet Jude, and his family, Ashley and Seoras.

In January of 2018, this incredible family’s life was turned upside down as Jude was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma: cancer of the soft muscle tissue. He underwent 68 weeks of chemotherapy with 28 days of radiation therapy, while on morphine 4-5 times each day... He was just 3 years old. 

In May of 2019, Jude was considered cancer free, rang the bell, and he and his family began the journey of healing and rebuilding.
After just 2 months of being cancer free- this past July- Ashley and Seoras learned that his tumor had grown back and that Jude was no longer cancer free.
As they’d already received the best cancer drugs and treatment, their team of specialists told the family that the chances of the cancer going away were extremely low. The treatment options they were given were intended, instead, to buy Jude and his family some time. 

Currently, Jude is undergoing new treatment under a research project called PROFYLE: Precision Oncology for Young People.


ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER

If you’re already following Jude and his family’s journey, you know already how incredible this family is. I’ve had the pleasure of bonding with Ashley- who is just the most resilient and humble and brave woman I know. The makers community knew we had to come together not only to support this family, but to do everything in our power to alleviate whatever burdens we could so that Jude, Ashley and Seoras can direct all their resources and energy on this fight, and on spending precious quality time together.

We’ve come together to create an incredible prize package to auction off for the family, valued at $1,500, and every cent made from the fundraiser will be donated directly to Jude and his family.

On November 1st, 2019 at 5pm Eastern Standard Time one name will be drawn by a random number generator. The name will be announced on social media and the winner will be contacted via email. Pick up of full prize package will be organized with winner.
