Making Scrubs For NHS Staff on the Frontline
Donation protected
We are a group of local volunteers in the Waltham Forest area who are raising money to make scrubs for our local NHS doctors and nurses.
We have had requests from NHS doctors and nurses to make scrubs, as there is currently a shortage and they cannot find them to buy anywhere.
Some NHS staff such as doctors and consultants don’t usually wear scrubs - but wearing scrubs is now the safest and easiest way for them to dress during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Due to this national shortage, we hope that by creating our own scrub making hub, we can help some of the doctors that live and work close to us.
We are asking for donations to cover the costs of materials and delivery to our customers.
Our group of 109 local volunteers are working as quickly as we can to get much-needed clothing to doctors, whilst working within the strict guidelines of the lockdown.
Producing one set of scrubs costs approximately £15, which includes:
- Materials like fabric & haberdashery
- Transportation of materials
- Delivery of the finished scrubs to the customer
All of our volunteers are giving up their time and expertise for free.
Let's come together to help the people on the front line working extremely hard to keep us all safe. Thank you!
