Making a BIG difference with a LITTLE forest
Donation protected
The neighbourhood of Grenville Park and Madeleine-de-Roybon Elementary School in Kingston are joining forces to start a Little Forest from scratch. Why? Because planting, nurturing and studying native trees and shrubs is one small way for the entire community to do something today that will benefit residents, students and teachers for decades to come. But while the Little Forest is being created for the benefit of all of us, it should be accessible for all of us. That’s why we would like to construct pathways into and throughout the forest to accommodate walkers, strollers and wheelchairs.
Many people in our wider community are helping with this project. We would like to plant 3,000 trees and shrubs and we have the land, the vision and the kid-power: help us fund this one-of-a-kind forest classroom and accessible neighbourhood gem!
