Making a Family Wish

I have cancer. You all know this.

Desi has been saying (for easily a year), “I want to go to Disneyland!”

which we really did prioritize for our other young ones. It’s when it’s the most magical time of all. I’m currently looking in May during times where it’s more of a ghost town. 

I know this trip would look a lot different. A wheelchair for me for starters. But for him- the magic will be all the same! For Arlo and Desi to see Spider-Man climb a wall, Bluey and family walking around, and Tinkerbell and Fawn is REAL! To answer your unasked question, we all love and adore each Tinkerbell movie. 

While I don’t have a date yet, what I have is a number, an idea, and a selfish wish and ask to make his and our dream come true because I will live every day to the fullest and stop waiting for “the right time.”

To also be real, I have no idea what work will look like for myself or Nic as we battle this disease as a family for years to achieve a complete cure and I am saving every penny for medical expenses and lack of future income.

Whole houses (less germs) for 5 nights ranging from $2,800-4,000

*Being immunocompromised a house would invite less contaminated surfaces and spaces BUT I’ll already be prepared for crowds and taking every precaution.
