Making Changes NE Make a Difference Fund.
Donation protected
Making Changes NE is an organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead and Northumberland which aims to build communities through education and experiences while improving mindfulness and well being.
We are currently looking for funding/ donations to enable us to give the people in Pegswood, a deprived mining village, the chance to part in various activities for free, to build community and help improve the well being of those living in the area/ surrounding areas such as Ashington, Blyth, Morpeth and so on.
Our community is a fantastic place to make new friends for both adults and youngsters.
With this funding, we will be putting on cooking classes for children aged 2 - 12 in order to teach valuable life skills which will teach how to eat a healthy, balanced diet whilst on a budget.
We will also be putting on dance classes for children to help them keep physically fit in an enjoyable environment where they can make friends, enjoy a hobby and have fun.
We will facilitate chess classes for people of all ages too, where you can learn to play or simply enjoy challenging one another. We hope this will be a mixed-aged class.
We also plan to put on forestry school classes for children/ families.
All of this will be offered for free in order to support building communities and reaching the people who would benefit from attending these sessions.
Check out our Felling cooking and crafts video for greater insight on what we got up to: https://youtu.be/OAmVmZWcmQE
