Making Darryl’s Smiles Even Easier
Donation protected
This is my friend Darryl, from Rockland, ON. He has smiled through a kidney transplant, gangrenous left above-knee leg amputation, right toes amputation, Type 1 diabetes, coronary artery disease, left cavernous sinus syndrome, opthamalogical issues such as ocular shingles, depression, and OCD. I met Darryl when I was adjusting to work from my own organ transplant, a much, much simpler issue, and he kept me smiling and hopeful throughout. Now, I would like to return the favour, and try to make that positivity a bit easier.
Darryl has just had his second leg amputation, and requires accommodation for his vehicle that will cost upward of 5-10,000, as he resides in a rural area and now has 2 prosthetic legs. He is going to continue to have to deal with health struggles with a long life ahead, on a fixed disability income and what pension he could accrue before his health issues took over. The funds from this campaign will go toward those costs, and any remainder toward mortgage upon his home, in the hope that he can then stretch what he has across the remainder of his future.
