Making precious memories for the fullers

Hi my name is janice I am a childhood friend of Amy’s I’m hoping to raise as much funds as possible for this beautiful family to making life time memories they will cherish forever with their amazing dad and husband Sean .
Here is their story ………
Sean & Amy are parents to 3 young kids, Sasha, Millie & Beau and were just a normal working family when they had their lives thrown into turmoil back in April 2022 when Sean was diagnosed with cancer just after buying their forever home which they worked so hard to achieve .
Sean was only 32 years old and had always been so healthy so this news was a complete shock for them.
Sean is a patient of Dr Derek Power at the Mercy Hospital in Cork and since 2022 he has been treated for his cancer diagnosis with two different types of Chemotherapy and has had to have two major surgeries, one to remove the tumour in the testicle and the other to remove a large tumour from the Lymph nodes in his chest.
The young family have faced many challenges throughout the treatment, Sean suffered a near-fatal blood cloth in his heart and was rushed to the Mater private in Dublin for a procedure in June 2022 shortly after the first chemo started and in August 2022 he suffered a mini-stroke as a result of the intense chemo he was going through.
Throughout all of this, Amy & Sean kept fighting and kept positive for their kids sakes.

April of this year, they received news that Seans cancer had progressed into a very rare type of Sarcoma cancer called Anaplastic Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma - its a very aggressive cancer of the soft tissue and effects less than 1% of Sarcoma patients. Their worlds were shattered when they were told it was already at Stage 4 and it was Terminal.
Even after hearing this news, the family stayed positive and hoped for the best as Sean went back into Chemo treatment.

It wasn’t long after this the family were hit with more bad news, this time financially, as Seans illness benefit had been stopped and he was refused the disability benefit, a decision they have appealed but was a huge shock to them considering all of the medical reports from various specialists, GP’s and Social workers supporting the terminal diagnosis. This meant the family were now having to manage on just Amys income while they wait on the outcome of the appeal. They still stayed positive and kept their spirits high until yesterday when they were told news no young family ever want to have to receive.

The Cancer wasn’t responding to the Chemotherapy and all other treatments like radiation, immunotherapy and surgery weren’t options for Sean. The Oncologist confirmed there were new tumours in his stomach and the other tumours were still growing…. Sean has 12 months left to live at best.

Sean will be starting another course of Chemotherapy to try contain the cancer as much as they can but they’ve been told Marymount Hospice will now be involved to support the palliative care for Sean.

I’ve setup this GoFundMe to try raise as much as possible to help Sean and Amy in with the financial burden they’re already going through but will now worsen over the months ahead. Amy is going to need to take time off work to care for Sean as well as keep supporting her family, medical expenses and keeping a roof over their heads .

I know this is a big thing to ask when everyone is struggling with the cost of living but If you can afford to help them, they would be so grateful and it could make a world of difference for them as a family.
Sean has 12 months left to live with his wife and kids, I’m hoping this GoFundMe can support them and help make those months as memorable as possible and just concentrate on what matters in life family .

Thanks for taken time out to read this and I hope you can share it on your social media platforms . I know how amazing cork people are and I hope you can get behind the fullers with me .

janice ❤️
