How can a school prepare its students for tomorrow’s world? Old High Middle School is seeking to develop perseverant problem solvers, innovators, and critical thinkers. A powerful way to encourage this development is through a Makerspace. It’s a place where students can question, explore, collaborate, design, tinker, and test  solutions for each subject area. The climate of makers at OHMS is already alive  with a few shared tools and recycled supplies. With a dedicated place  for our Makerspace,  students' individual interests and skill sets will flourish.

Help us advance student learning and provide training for our staff from the Amazeum professionals. This joint effort with the Scott Family Amazeum and the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is a fabulous opportunity to expand maker education across the nation. Matching funds of up to $800 from Google are already guaranteed.
