MAKOSH by Polina Shapkina

"My name is Polina Shapkina, I’m a Russian-Irish contemporary Circus artist living in Dublin.

I’m premiering my aerial/dance/theatre show MAKOSH in Dublin in September alongside an incredible cast (Charlotte Bruce, Ruairi O’Sea) and crew (Pepe Pancho, Brona Howard, John Luke, Niall Tuohy, Bridgit Ni Dhuinn)

Unfortunately I did not receive my funding to cover production costs and to pay the team of talented and passionate artists and crew involved.

I’ve received a huge amount of generosity and support from mentors, peers and communities over the last two years (The Irish Aerial Creation Center and ISACS especially) in the creation of this piece that is so incredibly precious to me. Myself and the team have poured all of our creativity, passion, time and unwavering dedication into it and it's so close to being finished, we are so excited to share what we’ve made with the world.

I have never let the lack of funding stop me from creating, expressing and sharing my creations in a bid to connect with people on a soulful level. However the costs of creating and putting on a show are pretty astronomical and I'm sad to say that no matter how hard I work I have pushed my personal financial resources to the absolute limit and now I am humbly asking for your help.

Please help me realise this dream and get MAKOSH on stage this September, it would really mean the absolute world.
