Malachi’s Memorial & Mommy

Malachi is the apple in his mama's eye. He's smart, sweet, affectionate, adventurous, and quick to say sorry for hurt feelings. You could point him out as the beautiful mahogany boy, with the faded haircut and fresh-laid waves. He carries his favorite football as he sails on his skateboard to show his baby brother, Major, his envied speed skills. He loved all things with wheels- roller skates, hoverboards, bicycles, trains, and scooters. He played video games to rest.

Malachi would want this help for his mommy, Marika; his passing is too much for her to bear or reason. Tears, dreams, sacrifice, regret, pleads, promise, and blame cannot change this situation; as she has tried them all.

Despite the growing pains in life, Marika prides herself in her children. I first heard her dreams when they were all set for the benefit of her children. You cannot call to speak to her before her children babble to you, first.

Marika's family asks for the community to surround her with the love it requires to pay for Mali's untimely funeral and to support a new, safe living residence for her and her second son, Major, 2.
