LIVN Global focuses on enhancing the lives of disadvantaged young people, widows, and elderly in the rural communities of Africa by providing aid and delivering sustainable community projects that will bring a lasting change to many. For the past few years, LIVN Global has been working hard with our partners in Malawi to support the helpless communities and victims of natural disasters.
Why Malawi
- 80% living in rural areas and rely on small scale household farming
- 75% of Malawians live on less than £1 a day
- Only 9% of the population have electricity
- 1 in 5 children die before the age of 5
- 1 in 7 women die in childbirth
- Over 1 million are orphans
- 95% of the population are either young or elderly dependents
- The average age of the Malawian population is 16 years
- 1 in 3 don’t have access to clean water
- 9.9 million of the total 19 million do not have access to basic sanitation
Malawi has been experiencing the worst outbreak of Cholera in 2 decades with over 57,000 cases reported and over a thousand deaths. To this end, LIVN Global is launching its Malawi Relief Campaign to raise money to build Boreholes for the supply of clean water for remote communities, as well as raising funds to provide day-to-day living necessities for the desperately deprived within Nyambiro Village, Chikwawa (southern Malawi). The following are some of the items we aim to supply, sourced in Malawi:

- Clothes
- Shoes
- Toothpaste
- Wrappers
- Books
- Maize
- Stationery
- School Bags
- School Blocks
- School Shoes
- School Uniforms
- Sugar
- Salt
- Tea
- Toys
- Sanitary wear
- Laptops for Prisons
- And much more....
These communities otherwise live with no promise or hope of how they will survive till the next day. They travel very long distances to fetch clean water for their families and unfortunately due to the fatigue of these distances, they often end up using unsafe water for food and drink and consequently their health is compromised. Many people in these communities are currently homeless living in tents or on the streets with no support or livelihood - amongst them are:
- Widows who are abandoned in the community
- Children and young people in Orphanages
- Single Parent families unable to afford school uniform, food, or basic amenities
- Young people in overcrowded rural prisons
- Young people in hospitals suffering from life-threatening illnesses
- Young people with disabilities.
Your generous donations will go towards establishing the boreholes and purchasing the above items that will support tens of thousands in the rural communities. Donations will also go towards implementing sustainable projects that will enhance the living conditions of the communities long-term such as: building Wells; installing Solar Panels for green energy; Prison rehabilitation programs for juveniles; Libraries and Interactive Youth centers to support education and bring people together.
