Emergency Medical funds for Malcolm Stocker

Our Dad, Malcolm Stocker is currently in intensive care in hospital in Turkey. With no insurance help due to pre existing medical conditions, we are left with no other option but to try and raise funds this way to cover the medical bill we are now facing.

Dad was taken to hospital unwell on Sunday 19th May 2024. He subsequently declined, forcing no other option but an induced coma and mechanical ventilation to try and save his life due to pneumonia, low sodium and potassium levels. We are praying for his recovery and have faith in the hospital in Turkey providing his care.

This has been extremely hard on us as a family and we flew out to be with him, with our mum, Caroline rallying in the UK to find support and information. Due to funds, Emma, Kerry and Jane have had to return to the UK. Lee is being an absolute rock for Dad and refusing to leave him alone in Turkey.

The rising cost of his care in Turkey is extremely daunting but something that is absolutely necessary to save his life. To date, the current hospital bill is £19’000 and only increases daily. We then face the bill of medically flying him home once in a condition to do so.

We as a family are heartbroken but fear we face no option but to ask for help. The advice from the British Embassy is to raise funds this way and so we appreciate any support that you can give.
