Malik Smith’s Funeral and Family Care

Hi, my name is Kelly Raley and I am a teacher in Eustis, Florida. One of my former students, Malik Smith, unexpectedly went home to be with his Heavenly Father early this morning, Saturday, November 13th.

Malik graduated from Eustis High School in May of 2020 and was currently attending Lake Tech, where he was training to become a Lake County Fire Fighter. Malik also worked at Publix on David Walker Drive while attending Lake Tech as a dedicated stock clerk.

Malik was a former student of mine who eventually became like family to me. I was also blessed to teach his sister, Kiara, and have his mom, Tazmia, become more like family to me than just a friend.

Because Malik’s passing was so unexpected, I would like to bless Tazmia with help to not only pay for funeral expenses, but also to allow her to take some time off from work to grieve the loss of her only son without the burden of worrying about the loss of her paycheck, as well.
