Guud Soup - Anxiety/Depression

Hello everyone,
Thanks for reading :)
My name is Malliha Ahmad (originally from Milwaukee, WI). I'm a natural born creative, businesswoman, traveler, and innovator. I love to live life fully and promote change in the lives of others. Progression and consistent evolution are paramount in my life. I've always seen myself as someone that's easily able to get through life's curb balls.
I recently started dealing with anxiety and I was frightened by the symptoms. Some of my symptoms were panic attacks, uncontrollable thoughts, sleepless nights, jitters, stomach/digestive issues, and an uncomfortable racing heart. All of these symptoms were new for me and I began to feel as if I was "losing control". I started to research, journal, and analyze all of the shifts that were taking place in my body. I began to feel as if I was a stranger in my body (I started to fear what the next day would bring). I wanted internal peace and a way to live a more healthy lifestyle. I had a great deal of support from my mother, partner, and friends. I realized that some of the women in my family dealt with anxiety and this isn't something to ignore or brush off. Anxiety and depression can stem from a variety of areas (one of the most popular areas is trauma). I see it as a call from your spirit requesting you to check-in and give yourself love. For me, it was time to heal past wounds and reflect on my self-worth. The more that I opened up about my journey, I realized that several people suffer(ed) from the same thing!
So, I'm propelled to find a way to help people that deal with anxiety, depression, or both (in a more holistic manner). My mission is to serve people who feel alone, overwhelmed, lost, and afraid. I want to create a hub/community that offers a plethora of resources. This hub will serve as support and a breath of fresh air for those looking for help or answers. We will focus on holistic education (featuring yoga techniques, videos, breathing exercises, meditation practices, webinars, journal activities, nutrition tips, gemstones + their healing modalities, and SO much more). We aim to help people grow through their issues as opposed to putting a bandage on the problem.
I'm asking for your support in helping me build a safe community for people (with a focus on people of color) that deal with anxiety and depression. Your contribution will help develop content, purchase a hub, get legal help, and hire a team (for social media, fundraising, events, PR, and administrative support).
Our website is guudsoup.com
This project is dear to my heart because it's been my personal journey for the past 4 years. It's my passion and purpose to demonstrate how I've healed myself and how I grow through everyday ups/downs.
Thanks for reading and I appreciate your support.
