Mama and five puppies rescued from Juarez

So the puppies, all four of them are being transferred to Lapdog Companion Rescue shortly, as in this morning. The three adult dogs now have foster in Albuquerque! That will happen today as well. Very very grateful for all of the help we’ve had: monetary, supplies, prayers, and good wishes and shares online.

I will be posting later today about what the expenses have been. Anything beyond the expenses will be donated to a rescue. Also, Missy Cordero is coordinating a drive with her Scout troop. Whatever food, blankets, potty pads, toys and leashes are collected – – I will pick up and distribute among local rescues.

Saturday October 6:

so I have upped the goal to $2000 to be raised. This is an alert. I am having to leave my home today because the landlord is not comfortable with the pups. Being here in all fairness they were supposed to be moved in and out within 24 hours, and that was 13 days ago. That was not possible due to the parvo outbreak. Please check my page for the story of how this has evolved. I am not, I repeat, not, going to send even one dog into a high risk situation nor am I going to risk losing my housing over this. Update: increased the fundraising goal, because Papa dog, and some aunt or uncle (haven’t had time to check) came over from Juarez with mama and the five.

Today I’m traveling to El Paso to transport mama and five puppies, who were rescued from Juarez, Mexico. All the rescues and shelters are slammed.; So I am just going to keep the puppies and Mama at my house till I get their vet work (spay, better, vaccinations and microchip.) I estimate that I can find low cost vet work for $100 per puppy and mama. So that’s $600 needed; than $100 things I haven’t thought of or things that come up. I am well established in the New Mexico rescue community. If you are able to donate, come back to my go fund me to check out the puppies and I will also post the receipts for all vet work. So if 70 people give 10 bucks each, we’ve got it! Or if you donate $100, you could sponsor one of the puppies , name it, and certainly have first adoption rights! I believe there are four girls, and a boy, and mama. Patricia Zine, a rescuer in El Paso who is bringing the puppies from Mexico may have named the mama. If so, I would like to keep mamas name.
