Mama Kim's Fight Against Cancer

About a month ago, our mother was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to her liver and lungs. She also has cancer in the lining of her peritoneum. It has also spread into her lymphnodes. We spent a long 19 days in the hospital facing a lot difficulties such as major abdominal surgery. Mama had a right hemi-colectomy to remove one of the masses near her colon that was obstructing her. This surgery left her with an ileostomy bag and a mucous fistula. That alone in itself has been a huge, scary change for her. We were making progress and were able to transfer her out of the hospital to a rehab facility. With only two days of being there we had a few setbacks and she had to be taken back to the hospital where she is now septic and fighting an infection. She needs to be fully recovered and healed from her surgery and this infection before any type of chemo can begin. She has a very scary, aggressive cancer, but we are trying to remain positive and keep fighting this battle.I feel many emotions even typing any of this out and absolutely feel small and helpless asking for help. We still have a long road ahead of us and anything will help with any bills, medical expenses, ext.
