Mamba8 travel to USFL Championship Game
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Corianna, and I am the founder of Mamba8 of Kalamazoo. We are raising money to help take these young men to the USFL Championship football game this Sunday July 3rd, to support their" Big Brother" Ralph & give them an experience of what hard work and dedication can get you. When founded, Ralph Holley allowed Mamba8 to be the first youth team to play basketball against grown men during the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's "week." At that time, he was the President of the fraternity, now a 2021 graduate, former team captain and football standout from Western Michigan University, currently playing for the USFL Philadelphia Stars-that will be competing this weekend. This group of young Black Kings initially started as a youth basketball team. As our country watched the killing of George Floyd, it began a conversation with the boys of Mamba8, which led these young men to use their voices to fight for justice for Floyd and the countless black men and women killed by police brutality. They have marched with people such as Stephen Jackson and been to many cities as they help fight for racial justice, social equality and to help stop violence in our communities. This will be an experience of a lifetime, not to mention it instills one of our values to "always show gratitude and support to those who have demonstrated that to you." We thank you all in advance for any donations given.
