Mandie Vs. Cancer
Donation protected
Mandie Offerman has cancer. Mandie is amazing, and cancer is not pretty. Cancer sucks and Mandie needs a scooter.
She has non-hodgkin lymphoma, which is cancer that develops in the lymphatic system from cells called lymphocytes, which are a type of white blood cell that helps the body fight infections. This means that she has to undergo chemo therapy every 4 weeks. She has tubes hooked up to a port that has been installed in her chest where she sits for 8 hours as chemicals are pumped into her body to fight the cancer in her lymph nodes and bones. This completely wipes her out for weeks, meaning she is dependent on friends and family for even basic needs as everything is exhausting when you are battling cancer. She can't work. She has to take a bunch of pills everyday and follow an exhausting hygiene routine to combat the toxins. She typically uses her bike as her primary transportation to get where she needs to go. Cancer doesnt give a shit that Mandie is young and active and want's to work and ride her bike to get basic needs met. Cancer couldnt care less that it gets in the way of Mandie living life fully as her beautiful daughter approaches high school graduation. But we care. Because Mandie is a warrior and she is going to win.
I want to help Mandie get a scooter, don't you? A scooter will enable Mandie to do things we take for granted, like getting laundry done, grocery shopping, and getting to her Dr. appointments.
Cancer can make us feel helpless. But we can help in small ways that will make a huge difference for Mandie. Donate today!
