Camp K Scholarships in Honor of Mandy Allen

We are deeply saddened to have lost our sweet and sassy Mandy. She was such a bright light in this world. Her infectious laugh, silly attitude, and large capacity for love has touched so many lives.

One of the things Mandy loved most was going to Camp Kostopulos every summer. Camp Kostopulos is a 5 day summer camp for kids and adults with disabilities or special medical needs. Some years Mandy was able to receive a scholarship that paid for or partially paid for camp. In recent years the amount of scholarship funds have drastically decreased, which means many of these individuals who absolutely love and look forward to camp, are no longer able to attend.

In lieu of flowers or donations for medical expenses, we’d like to help send several kids to camp this year in honor of Mandy. She cared so deeply for her friends at “Camp K” and we know that she would want to help others go.

We have spoken to the camp director, who remembers Mandy, and he said the scholarships will be such a blessing. We have set a goal to raise money for 7 scholarships.

We feel Mandy’s loss so deeply. Our hearts are extremely heavy as we realize that we have to find our way in the world again without her joyous spirit. Our hope is that by providing a way for these individuals to attend camp we can create more of that sunshine that Mandy was well-known for.
