Mandy's Medical Support Fund

Mandy went to see her doctor on the Tuesday after Christmas because she has been experiencing shortness of breath, headaches and dizziness when exerting herself. After having some blood tests done it was determined that she is anemic. After analyzing the data further, her doctor determined there were abnormalities in some of her blood cells.  Mandy and Jeff and Theresa then went to Sierra Vista in SLO where they performed additional tests and then were directed to proceed to Stanford's children's hospital immediately.

Stanford's team did a bone marrow biopsy and the results confirmed the doctors' suspicions that she has leukemia/ which from now on will be referred to as L. We are still finding out details but know that she will be at Stanford receiving chemotherapy for a month and then in and out for treatment for 6 months.  We are working out how to manage all of this since Mandy needs to be in Stanford, 3 hours away from Paso.  This fund was set as a way to help Jeff and Theresa and Mandy with transportation and housing and the little expenses that are already popping up. We don't yet know about medical costs, etc.
