Help Mandy survive the US healthcare system

My name is Mandy Paris. I am 35 years old and have been struggling with severe blood loss from heavy periods since I was 12 years old. This has now turned into severe and debilitating iron deficient anemia. Despite seeing multiple providers and trying multiple methods of blood loss prevention— even getting an abdominal surgery in 2019– the problems have only become worse. I’ve been to the emergency room twice in two months including once by ambulance due to accelerated heart rate, chest pain, dizziness, fatigue, low temperatures and fevers. I have developed Pica, a disorder where I eat things not meant for consumption because of a nutritional deficit. I sleep upwards of 18-20 hours a day and am at a point where I am barely able to function.

While I am hoping to get a hysterectomy, the steps needed to do so will take several more months. I have been prescribed a temporary measure to stop my periods (Orillisa) but it can’t be taken long term and has a high copay.

My husband is supporting us both financially and around the house and is stretched very thin. I’m scared I’m going to lose my job and therefore my health insurance as I am already struggling to work enough.

Funds raised will contribute directly to my copays, medications, deductibles, and out-of-pocket max for the surgery I will need. I currently have a bill of $1595.61 (photo of balance included), which is not including the cost of my latest trip to the emergency room. I have been paying on this bill but can only tackle a small chunk at a time.

I am already saddled with thousands of dollars of medical debt due to my anemia. Just hoping to reduce the impact long term.
