Manny Fire Recovery

First off, everyone is ok physically. Emotionally, they took a hit. The schoolhouse that the Mannys had personally renovated into a home, for the time being, is unlivable.
While insurance will assess and they will be whole again, what are family and friends for if we can pitch in to soften the blow in these tricky times? Let's show them that when these things happen, we stick together. A little token from each of us adds up to something impactful for them. Even if it's just a couple nights somewhere cozy, some clothes, or good food.
Here's the story:
As Ashley dropped a routine, but early chicken nugget dinner into the air fryer, the family bounced around the house and she tended to baby Theo. But, there was silent trouble afoot inside that fryer.
By the time anyone could act, the fire had sprung from the device and it was decidedly stubborn. Ashley put Theo on a hip, got Arthur outside and out of harm's way. Brennin grabbed a fire extinguisher and went to work.
They fought back the fire several times, only to see it return each time. The heat and grease were getting the best of the situation and they had to retreat.
Ashley called the fire department and waited long minutes outside, knowing that all the work and love that went into their home was at risk. The fire dept arrived, along with neighbors, and the fire was contained. It was time to process.
In the end, while the kitchen area took most of the structural damage, the smoke had gotten serious, damaging nearly all of their home. Something close to 80% of the drywall will need replacing. All fabric materials, a lot of clothes, and personal stuff is a loss.
Ashley gives us a tour:
Let's see if we can raise $1000 (or more now!) to help them out. A little bit adds up. Or, if you are close by and can lend a hand in a different way, please do that instead. Family first. Cheers.
