Manny Abate's Medical Expenses

Late on February 1st Manny experienced stroke-like symptoms in his home that quickly advanced to full cardiac arrest.  Thankfully Ryan, Jen's son, performed CPR until EMS arrived.  Manny was rushed to Jupiter Medical Center where a CT scan revealed a aortic dissection tear.  Manny was then airlifted to JFK Medical Center for emergency surgery. 

Manny remains in the ICU in critical condition.  He is on medication to control his blood pressure as well as other IV medications for various systems support.   He is being treated for pneumonia.  While he is awake with an occasional sense of humor he is also quite confused.  He is very unhappy because he is not allowed to have water.  They had to place a feeding tube to ensure he gets nutrition as he is having trouble swallowing.  

Because Manny's illness was sudden and now prolonged due to complications, he will not be able to work for several weeks.   Your donations will be of great support to him and his family as he recovers.  It will allow Manny to heal properly and not rush back to work before he is ready.
