Mansa Colley Bojang School

Dear Friends,

Most of you have followed my adventure of the last two months, volunteering in Mansa Colley Bojang School in The Gambia. Soon, I will have to go back. Before I go, I would like to make a donation to the School.

I know, unfortunately, there are so many causes to donate in the world today. However, spending two months here, I got very close to this community and I want to try and help them as much as I can. During my time here, besides teaching Arts and Technical Drawing, I initiated a project to provide bookshelves and storage spaces to improve the quality of the spaces where the girls stay during exams. I also tried to establish connection with organisations working on Sexual Based Gender Violence and Waste management. Both, very big problems in The Gambia and in the area around the school.

There is so much you can do here with little money, from supporting the projects I initiated to maintaining the school, but also basic things like providing more food for the children, most of which do not have enough to eat in a day. The school is a safe haven for most of the children who live in heartbreaking conditions, but also provides them with hope of a better future.
