Manuel "Manny" Flores
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Peggy Weber and I am the Principal at St. Gertrude Elementary School.
Our school has started this Go Fund Me to help cover the expenses for one of our school parents' funeral, Manuel Flores.
Manuel, or as many would call him, Manny, was the father of two boys, Anthony and Daniel, and husband to Zulema. He was the type of father to greet his children at the end of a school day with his arms open wide and a big smile on his face. He was a larger than life guy with a larger than life personality and an even larger than life love for Christ. He was a devoted husband and friend to anyone that he would meet.
On the night of February 12, I received a text from Fr. Nabor that Manny had passed due to cardiac arrest. This unexpected news shook our entire community to its core. Our staff immediately felt for his wife and his two children and we all began brainstorming on what we can do to alleviate some of the stress that comes with a sudden passing. Upon speaking to his wife, Zulema, we decided this Go Fund Me was the best start.
God works in mysterious ways and only He knows the path he is paving for us. Through it all, one thing is apparent: the love of Christ Manny instilled in his children is apparent. Here are some of the things Anthony and Daniel loved most about their father:
He liked Batman and liked to think he was Batman ("The Dark One").
He was a protector and cared for his family.
He loved being with family.
He liked to make them laugh.
He liked church.
He liked to sing.
He liked to wash cars.
He taught them many things.
HE LOVED AS IF HE WAS JESUS.
All in all, Manny was an amazing father, husband, and friend. We know that if he were here he'd want us all to take care of ourselves in the best way we can.
We thank you in advance for your donation of any amount to help this family of 3, Zulema and her two sons. May God bless you today for your generosity and most of all, for your continued prayers for this family in their time of grief.
