Manuela’s Stroke recovery

Hey guys! Unfortunately my beautiful mom had a stroke on February 22 2023. She had both an ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. This affected her entire right side. She had no feeling or movement in her right arm or leg. She has a condition called thrombocytopenia which makes the stoke very complicated. She spent about 1 week in ICU, another week on the medical unit until she was stable enough to move to rehab. She spent 2 weeks in inpatient rehab relearning to move her fingers, move her toes, and everyday functions. She worked very hard in those weeks and has regained some mobility in both her right arm and leg. She still has a long road ahead of her but she will get there. She was released from rehab on March 31st! She’s back at home but she will need 24 hour help. She will have to continue going to outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy. She has been out of work for over and month and we don’t know when or if she will be able to go back. If anyone can help us with even a little to help cover medical bills, medical equipment, ect it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone for all the support. We are so happy to have her back at home and know she will get back to where she was before!
