Many Names Debut album recording!
I Need Your Help!
After more than three years, the time has come for me to record another album of my original compositions, and I need your help to pull it off.
Recording an album is a pricey undertaking. Over the years I have had the good fortune to receive funding from various Arts Council programs, unfortunately that is not an option in this case.
So, that is why I am humbly asking for your support.
A New Chapter
For more than a decade I was living in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, Scotland. During that time I was fortunate to be a part of many fantastic projects with great people, made quite a few recordings and also put out my first two solo albums. I learned alot and grew enormously as a musician.
Three years ago it was time for a much needed change of scenery, and I moved back to my wonderful home country of Canada. Since being in Toronto I have been connecting with its widespread and vibrant music scene. This has been an inspiring adventure that has deeply influenced and shaped the creation of my new music. I've been composing ferociously and this music is waiting to come to life.
Just over a year ago I put together my new quartet, "Many Names", and I feel extremely privileged to have some of Canada's finest jazz musicians involved in this project.
Jeff King on tenor saxophone, Adrean Farrugia on piano and Dan Fortin on double bass have brought my music to life and lifted it beyond my expectations. After a busy summer of performances in and around Toronto the group has evolved in an exciting way.
Hitting The Road
2017 promises to be an exciting year for the group; I have put together an extensive tour that will take us across Canada and even overseas to my old stomping grounds in Scotland. I can't wait to introduce this group and my new music to the world. Having the newly recorded album with us on our travels is crucial to getting the music out there where it belongs.
