Maqueira Family

My name is Vicky Maqueira. My family was struck with a huge life altering accident on July 31st, 2021. My father, Luis Maqueira, was struck by a vehicle at around 3am while on his bicycle on his way home from work. The person responsible for his accident remains at large all while my dad remains at the trauma center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. My father suffered multiple broken bones (leg, both ankles, arm, shoulder and clavicle) fractured ribs, bruises and lacerations across his body. He is extremely lucky to be alive. However per his doctors, he has a very long road to recovery. He was the sole provider for my mom, who is an epileptic and is unable to work. My mom is left to fend for herself while my dad remains hospitalized. Those who don't know my dad, he is full of life, love and truly has a heart of gold. This gofundme account will help my mom with the everyday bills while my dad recovers. Anything that you can spare will definitely go a long way.
