Mara and Farid's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On Wednesday, January 8th, my mother Mara & her partner Farid lost our family home of 14 years to the Eaton Fire.
We are so lucky that Mara, Farid, and their cats are safe, but we are seeking support to help them find their footing ASAP: just prior to the Eaton Fire, Farid received a diagnosis of Stage 2B Lung Cancer, for which he underwent surgery four weeks ago.
Farid and Mara are currently awaiting the start of his chemotherapy treatment, and any resources will go a long way as they bravely face these challenges. They escaped the fire with little more than the clothes on their backs—this fundraiser will help cover the everyday essentials, shelter, and medicine they need in order to start on the path to recovery.
The community of Altadena and the sanctuary of its mountains mean so much to Mara, Farid, and their neighbors. If you have the pleasure of knowing this magnetic duo, then you know how much they give and love those around them. We are grateful for your help as we show up for our loved ones and neighbors whose lives have been suddenly reshaped by this emergency.
