Mara Kemmer UPDATE

Hi, my name is Deb and I am fund raising for my daughter-in-law, Mara Kemmer. Mara has been diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer. Mara is 30 years old and is the wife of Chris and mom of 15 year-old Shellbee. Mara has been referred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for treatment. Mara has two tumors on her left breast and she will most likely need to undergo a mastectomy on one or both breasts. This will require multiple trips to the Mayo with extended stays. Although Mara does have health insurance, there is still a large deductible and out-of -pocket expenses to be met, as well as the cost of staying at Mayo and loss of wages for both Chris and Mara while she undergoes treatment. Anyone who knows Mara knows she will give you the shirt off her back. She became a mom to Shellbee when Shellbee was only two years old and Mara was only 17 years old. She stepped in and has done an amazing job being her mom! Mara will help any animal in need, including rescuing five baby squirrels one year after they lost their mama and nursing them until they could be released into the wild when they were big enough to survive on their own. Please help us raise money for Mara and her family while this bad ass kicks cancers butt!
