Marathon fundraiser for Olivia and Tori's Angels

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Tori's Angels Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact.

This Sunday, on October 17th, I will be running the Des Moines marathon to raise money Tor's Angles. The foundation pays for all medical expenses not covered by insurance, including: travel expenses to treatment (airfare or mileage, hotels, meals), co-pays, deductibles, and prescription medicine. More importantly, for Olivia and her family.

Olivia's story

Back in July, just after she was getting ready to celebrate her 6th birthday, Olivia's family took her in to be seen for a sudden lump that they had noticed on her throat. What they were told turned their world completely upside down. Olivia was diagnosed with stage 3 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma. Olivia family was accepted by Tori's Angles to help pay for the medical treatment.

Olivia is now in the thick of her treatment plan, which consists of a minimum of 66 weeks of chemotherapy and several weeks of radiation. This little warrior has scans this week to see how treatment is working against the cancer.
