Marathon Fundraiser

In November 2013 my father Jimmy Harte had a fall leading to a severe brain trauma with little hopes for recovery. In April of 2014, I ran my first marathon to raise money for the Beaumont Hospital Foundation who worked endlessly to get him to where he is today.  

Since then he has made a miraculous and hard-fought recovery with thanks to too many people to mention.  In December 2016 the Letterkenny Based 'No Barriers Foundation' began their "Positive Steps Campaign' to raise funds to bring an Eksobionics robotic exoskeleton to Donegal.

The Exoskeleton is a comprehensive gait therapy tool which will provide an unparalleled rehabilitation experience for patients and therapists alike.  With this Exoskeleton my father Jimmy can keep progressing beyond a level we ever imagined. It will also help any other members of the community who need it, so now is our time to give back. 

On Sunday 4th of June 2017 I will run the Derry City Marathon in order to raise as much funds as possible to help them reach their 150k goal. So please, if you can, donate generously and I look forward to doing the last few meters of the run with Jimmy!
