Marathon Walk for Charity
Hi and thank you for taking the time to visit our GoFundMe page!
The Evolved Search team are putting on our walking boots to walk a 26-mile marathon along the beautiful Kielder Water. We’re expecting it to take us around 10 hours to walk around the entirety of Kielder water no matter the weather.
The walk will be happening on the 24th June in aid of three charities close to our hearts who offer irreplaceable services to those in need in the North East and the surrounding areas.
We would love to be able to raise at least £750 for each of our three chosen charities:
Tyneside and Northumberland Mind
Tyneside & Northumberland Mind exists to promote positive mental health, providing flexible, responsive and sustainable support services.
We put people first by involving service users, carers and local community. We do all this to make it possible for people who experience mental distress to live full lives and play their full part in society.
We offer a range of services based on the Recovery model where all services are focused on improving and enhancing an individual’s wellbeing, based on the principles and practices of person-centred planning and self-directed support.
Brain Tumour Research
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
We are the only national charity in the UK that is dedicated to raising funds for continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours and we are a leading voice calling for greater support and action for research into what scientists are calling the last battleground against cancer.
Nerve Tumours
Nerve Tumours UK provides crucial support and empowerment for those affected by nerve tumours in the UK.
Nerve tumours are not limited to one group of people. Regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, sexuality, disability or wealth – if not catered for appropriately, can cause intense grief and isolation.
Nerve tumours can be uncompromising, painful and punishing without the right support network. As long as the condition is around, we will strive to provide better and more targeted support.
Each of our chosen charities will be receiving 33% of the total funds we raise.
Please help us support these excellent charities and the phenomenal work they do. ⭐
