Marathon walk for Niamh Walsh and Jeff Sanderson
We have decided to walk a marathon in order to raise enough money to purchase 2 memorial benches in memory for both our best friend Niamh and Shaina’s dad Jeff.
For those who don’t know, Niamh was 22 when she tragically died after suffering from a brain haemorrhage in March 2020. She was a beautiful person with a young daughter, loving family and friends and is deeply missed by all. Jeff died in 2019 after a long battle with Cancer, he was a successful business man, proud Dad to Shaina and Grant and had a heart of gold.
We would love to have Niamh’s bench situated around Forfar Loch as she loved taking Millie to the park there and we think it would be lovely for anyone to be able to visit this place as a way to remember her. We are currently awaiting a response from Angus Council to confirm where exactly it can be located and will share that with you once we hear from them. Those who knew Jeff, will know he is buried on his estate and we would love to be able to place his bench there.
We’re going to walk the marathon around Forfar Loch, which works about 10.5 laps and would love it if anyone else wishes to join in for as little or as long as they like!! There will be refreshments provided on the day and we are planning on doing it on the last Saturday of August, the 29th (covid dependant).
Any additional money raised will then be split between Cancer Research UK and Brain Research UK.
Please share and donate as little as much as you can!!!
Thanks very much, Shaina and Beth xx
