Marathon Walk for the Alameda County Food Bank
Tax deductible
Want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money to benefit the Alameda County Community Food Bank. During these unprecedented times, many food banks are struggling to keep up with demand, so every donation will help make an impact.
What better way to get outdoors and get some exercise while supporting our local food bank than by walking a marathon! So we four (Guneet, Saatchi, Luvreet, and Ankit) have planned to do just that by walking the entire Iron Horse Trail (27.2 miles) from Pleasanton to Concord on Sunday, May 3rd. Please consider sponsoring us and supporting those in need of food and other essentials during this pandemic. Money that we raise will be matched by Salesforce and GSC, so really no amount is too small! Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause.
More information about Alameda County Community Food Bank: Through a network of 240 member agencies and direct distribution programs, the Food Bank distributes enough food to provide 540,000 meals weekly. Our systematic approach to solving hunger includes: -One of California's busiest emergency food helplines -A multilingual CalFresh outreach program -Dynamic hunger and nutrition education programs -An innovative advocacy program that promotes policies to benefit low-income residents.
