Marauders on Kilimanjaro
Can you help us raise funds for Marauders Men's Health (Registered Charity Number 1179304) Every penny raised will go direct to the Marauders towards helping men in need. No monies raised will be used to fund the trek for any individual.
Seven men from Port Talbot are climbing Kilimanjaro to raise the profile of men’s mental health. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. We will be trekking 63km through the jungle and rough terrain to an altitude of 5,895 metres. To put this into context Pen y Fan is 886 metres!!
This is a massive challenge we are taking on. Temperatures will range from 30 degrees at the base, to minus 20 at the summit. We will be camping in sub-zero temperatures, challenging our bodies to our limits.
Each of us on the climb has a story to tell of fighting back from one of the challenges life has thrown at us. We will be a team on the mountain, inspiring each other to reach the summit.
Marauders Men's Health is a male walk & talk group that helps hundreds of men improve their physical and mental wellbeing. All of us on the trek have really benefitted from the work of the Marauders; if it were not for the Marauders, we would never be even close to climbing this huge mountain. The Marauders have helped our mental health as well as our fitness. It has improved our whole wellbeing, which is the reason we want to help support the Marauders work.
The Marauders have two bases, one in Port Talbot with the second one in Llantrisant. Funds will help these groups flourish to help many more men.
Together STRONGER - you and us lads who are climbing this epic mountain will really make a difference to lots of men’s lives.
Thank you so much for your donation. We all really appreciate your support
