UPDATE: CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR MARC CZARNECKI POSTPONED INDEFINITELY
It is with a heavy heart that Eric and I have decided to cancel Marc’s celebration of life that was scheduled for Oct 13th. In light of the destruction and despair from hurricane Helene, we want the Asheville community to focus on helping each other recover and repair in this difficult time. In addition, Turgua Brewery is currently hosting the national guard to provide aid in Fairview. Eric and I will post about updates regarding the arboretum memorial and a possible get together in the future. In the meantime stay safe and support one another on this road to recovery.

From Eric and Kara Czarnecki:
Marc Albert Czarnecki, our papa, passed suddenly and unexpectedly at his place of residence in Asheville, NC on July 26th. Marc touched many lives and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. He was well known to many people in Asheville, a community that he loved dearly. Anyone who encountered our father knew he had an infectious laugh, kind smile, and an unyielding positive attitude towards life's many challenges. He enjoyed his service with numerous local organizations and causes such as Code Purple, The Center for Conscious Living and Dying, RN/patient advocacy, WNC broadband access, and digital literacy. He was passionate about his work at Land of Sky Regional Council, and was loved amongst his friends and colleagues, who have shown us great support during this difficult time. He was passionate about capturing the beauty of nature and local businesses with photography, many of which appear in google searches. His love for his children, mother, father, sisters, nieces, and nephews was always evident. We have many fond memories with him of hiking, exploring the Asheville Farmer's Market or craft fairs, and enjoying the amazing cuisine Asheville has to offer. As our father, he has nurtured our sense of adventure, love of people, open-mindedness, and admiration of nature. Our lives will not be the same without him and he will be missed by many.

We are creating this GoFundMe to cover his cremation expenses firstly. Any other money raised will go towards buying an engraved bench/memorial at a local park and then to the Center for Conscientious Living & Dying (https://www.ccld.community/) . We hope to plan an open-invitation celebration of life for Marc Czarnecki in Asheville at a later date. We will gladly post updates on these projects as they develop.

We thank you, his friends and the community that enriched our father's life and constantly inspired him. We honor and celebrate his life by slowing down and enjoying the beauty life has to offer.

We love and miss you papa.

Sincerely,
Eric and Kara Czarnecki
