March Against Fascism

Dear Resisters:
As you already know, for the past several weeks I have been working nonstop with a group of volunteers to bring the #MarchAgainstFascism Movement to fruition.
Unfortunately, while the donations have been generous - thank you again - there has not been the ground swelling of support that I had anticipated. My amazing volunteers, most of whom have never organized an event of this magnitude, have been overburdened with tasks that ideally should have been spread among many people. On top of that, we’ve had to deal with a concerted effort by individuals to undermine the success of this Movement.
Therefore, I cannot in good conscience ask you to donate funds to support this campaign any longer. I encourage you all to continue to #MarchAgainstFascism and even protest in your cities and states on 08/17/19. It’s imperative that we continue this fight because our Democracy is in peril.
Please know that the volunteers and I thank you for all your kind words and encouragement from the bottom of our resisting hearts!

Since funds have never been withdrawn from this campaign, REFUNDS will be issued within 3-7 days in accordance with GoFundMe Policy.
MISSION STATEMENT:
To educate Americans regarding the definition of fascism:
-that fascism creates an autocracy by centralizing government
-that the growth of fascism is created by economic stress and social regimentation
-that fascism flourishes when threats are made by a dictatorial leader to suppress any opposition.
-That fascism is what is happening today in Washington DC under the Trump administration and the Republican Party.
Nationwide events are currently being planned for 08/17/19 in the following location:

Funds will be used to cover all costs associated with the Nationwide #MarchAgainstFascism. We are currently planning events in at least 20 locations across the continental US and are receiving cost estimates of $5000 per venue (busing not included). In the interest of transparency, we will be providing actual expenses as receipts become available.
