March for Aston
Donation protected
Aston Bevington, who recently turned 16, is a talented football and rugby player for the Under-16s team. Tragically, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on December 10, 2024, and was immediately transported by ambulance to Noah’s Ark Hospital in Cardiff, where he began an intensive chemotherapy regimen.
Aston continues to fight this tough battle, and we want to ensure he doesn’t have to do it alone. He was scheduled to finish his GCSEs this year and aspires to become a professional athlete.
Aston has played academy football for Swansea City since seven and played for Pontardawe, hoping to earn a scholarship.
In addition to his football achievements, his impressive rugby skills led to a call-up to the Ospreys academy after a standout season with Porthcawl and Bridgend District. Aston has also taken the initiative to give back to the community by completing his referee qualification, which allows him to officiate games for local minis and junior teams on Sunday mornings.
All funds raised for Aston will support specialist treatment and rehabilitation, which will help him return to doing what he loves and realise his dreams. This fundraising effort will also benefit the charities that have supported him so far, and raise awareness, encouraging other young people to register as critical stem cell volunteers with the Welsh Blood Service in the lead-up to World Cancer Day.
