Marching with the Bluecoats 2023 - Aiden Keller

Last summer I got to live out the lifelong dream of marching with the Bluecoats. It was an incredible experience and opened up so many doors for me as a musician and performer. I have been offered a contract for the 2023 season and can't wait for what opportunities it may bring however, as you'd expect, it's only gotten more expensive to participate in the activity I love.

Being a Bluecoat means so many things to me. It has inspired me to try to be not only a better musician and performer, but a better person too. After such an incredible summer of musical experience, I decided to audition for a music school in New Orleans called Loyola. I had previously sworn off the idea of college, but something about my time with the Bluecoats changed my mind and made me hungry to learn more about being a better trumpet player. And where else better to learn about it than New Orleans. I was accepted with a couple of scholarships and started pursuing another dream.

I've never felt more like myself than when I'm performing with this incredible ensemble, and I can't wait to see what awesome stuff the designers come up with for us. If you are interested in helping me march this summer any amount you can contribute, or even a share is very much appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed. I'm so grateful for the continued support I receive every year I attempt to fund this incredibly expensive activity. The family and friends who continue to support me every year are who really make this opportunity possible for me. Without those people, and my awesome parents there would be no chance that I get to do the thing I love.

This activity means so much to me, and being able to carry on the legacy that music and drum corps has in my family means even more. As the activity continues to grow more and more expensive, I continue to remind myself daily of how lucky I am to have the support system that I do. THANK YOU!
