Marcus Myers- Olympic Hopeful 2020

I am currently training for the 2020 Olympic trials next year. For those of you who know me and have followed my athletic career over the years, I want to thank you! For those who, don’t know me as well, here’s the run down. I’m originally from Northwest Ohio and was luckily enough to get recruited out of high school to compete in the collegiate athletic system of the NCAA Division II. Walsh University was my home for four years where i graduated with my Undergrad in Marketing. At Walsh I started throwing the hammer my freshman year, an event that I was unfamiliar with coming from high school. Throughout my four years I started to excel in the event. I ended my collegiate career as a Division II National Champion in the hammer down a Johnson C. Smith in North Carolina for the NCAA Division II National Track and Field Meet. My farthest mark was top thirty in the country and I unfortunately missed qualifying for the United States National Track and Field meet. Fortunately, I have hit the qualifying mark already this year which means I will be competing at our country’s national meet at the end of July in Des Moines, Iowa. Competing as an athlete requires a lot financially in-terms of entry fees, traveling, rooming, equipment, etc. ALL FUNDS DONATED WILL GO TOWARDS EXPENSES ONLY RELATED TO MY ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE AND CAREER!!! For those of you who know me, I don’t enjoy asking for help, let alone asking for money. In summary, I’ve appreciated the love and support over the years through my collegiate career and what I’m asking it to continue that support through my semi-professional career. I’m not asking for your paycheck yet opening an opportunity for support to be given.
