Marcus Wayne Cancer Fundraiser

With consent and direction from the family, it is with a very sad and heavy heart that I share this post....
Our friend Marcus Wayne has been diagnosed with a very serious form of brain cancer, glioblastoma.
This is a very debilitating and devastating form of cancer for anyone who has had this misfortune of knowing someone to suffer with it.
Marcus has been one of my best friends for the better part of 2 decades.
Myself, his friends, and most importantly and sadly, his family; have been completely blindsided by this recent and sudden diagnosis. As of this moment Marcus is receiving the best treatments available and we are all praying for his recovery.
As I’m sure anyone who has dealt with a family member or friend with a similar diagnosis, you can imagine what his family, including his children are dealing with in this moment. Please join me sending thoughts and prayers to Marcus and all of his loved ones. It is needed now more than ever.
Obviously these are very difficult times for Marcus and his family... and as with anyone dealing with this type of situation, financial burdens ensue with medical bills, housing and utilities, etc.
The family is doing everything they can to help keep him and his children as well off as they are able to , but they will need OUR support. I’ve never done a fundraiser before but I offered the family to help lead the effort to raise as much money as possible to help Marcus with his medication and treatment expenses, as well as the other costs with helping to keep his family going during this unimaginably difficult time.
I ask all of my friends to please donate whatever you can to help, as well as share this post as often as possible... asking your friends to help in anyway they can.
Every dollar will go directly to Marcus’s mother, Mary, to assist with his medical expenses and treatments, as well as helping to support his family and children.
We undoubtedly ALL know someone close to us that has dealt with a similar situation. We don’t wish this scenario upon anyone. Yet, this family is now faced with an incredibly difficult task of keeping Marcus focused on his treatment and being positive, while simultaneously keeping their family moving forward through these difficult times.
Anyone who knows Marcus personally will tell you that he is the kindest, funniest, and most loving father around. His life’s passions are his family first and foremost, and enjoying the outdoors and especially golf! (He got two hole-in-ones last season!)
Please help in any way if your are able. Marcus needs the support and his family will be so appreciative of whatever support WE can provide them.
