Support our dear friend Maren kick cancers butt!

Hello, this GoFundMe was created by friends of Maren Wilson Peck. Maren was recently diagnosed with a VERY rare form of Breast Cancer called invasive lobular carcinoma. Only 5% of women get this diagnosis. She will undergo a double mastectomy on January 31st. After she recovers from surgery, chemo will follow as well as possible radiation. She will be unable to work for an unknown amount of time and as a mother of two young children, she is headed down a very scary path both medically and financially. Unfortunately Maren does not qualify for any CT paid leave. While recovering from surgery and during chemo she will be making $0 weekly.

We are creating this GoFundMe in the hopes of raising money to lighten the load as much as possible letting her focus on recovery and beating this horrible disease. Maren is one of the strongest people we know and if anyone can beat this it is her but no one can or should do it alone. Any and all donations help this beautiful Mama and her two amazing kids ages 6 and 11 navigate this terrifying journey.

Maren is so appreciative and overwhelmed by everyone’s thoughts, prayers and well wishes. She has a LOT on her plate right now and needs to put all her energy into surgery and healing. So we are asking people to honor her request and try to avoid texting or calling her. We will update the gofundme to let everyone know how surgery goes and treatment and needs going forward.
