Margate MiniGolf Zoning Appeal Fund

Donation protected
The Margate Zoning Board allowed a developer to change the Zoning for the Margate Central Business District, on Ventnor Avenue at Adams Avenue (near Washington Ave), from very clearly defined plans to only have stores and restaurants. The plans very specifically state No Residences, No Offices. The Margate planning commissions desire is to keep & expand the NOW Central Business District.
The Margate Zoning Board decided that they can change the CBD requitrement to include "Recreation" and allowed a Boardwalk type Amusement Attraction--a giant, two story high Mini Golf with freestanding signs, two story high water tower and have it open until Mid-Night--but only in Summer months--otherwise it is a shut-down shrinkwrapped eyesore. There was nearly zero time to gather people to protest this zoning change by rushing through the zoning meeting in the middle of the Winter when MOST residents cannot attend a meeting. We have engaged a "Land Use" attorney and need funds to appeal this zoning chane to the NJ Superior Court. The tried this in 2009 (Near Castles) but backed out. We have engaged the SAME legal firm that fought this in 2009. Please donate as much as you can afford. We will send back all unused funds to those of you that have helped.
Please remember--it is not against Mini Golf in Margate--it is against the planned, two story high, 10-foot High Monkey sign type of Boardwalk Attraction on quaint Ventnor Avenue.
