SHOW SOME LOVE AND CARE TO ONE AMAZING YOUNG MAN AND TWO WONDERFUL GIRLS.

Hello all,
I, along with other friends, write on behalf of our colleague and dear friend Amanda. As some of you may know, on this great holiday weekend, while our friend was working to provide financial stability for her young family of three children and a young German Shepard named Margo, tragedy struck when their beloved pup broke free of his leash and was tragically struck by a car.
Margo was a fighter, who as a puppy was abandoned on the streets of Medford by a family that no longer wanted her. Our friend Amanda took her in and made her part of their family. It did not take long for a strong bond to form between Margo and her three children. Her children loved Margo unconditionally and Margo protected and loved her two sisters, but was inseparable from her brother “D” and the two of them did everything together.
“D” was walking his best friend when the terrible accident occurred and witnessed the horrible incident. Police came and helped rush Margo and “D” to an Emergency Animal Hospital where his mother joined him. Unfortunately, after extensive evaluation, the Dr. recommended that Margo be humanely euthanized due to her critical condition. Her family was by her side.
This horrible experience would be tough for anyone to witness let alone a 15 year old boy who has already suffered so much loss in his life with the passing of his father at a young age. “D” has always been a strong young man and he finds solace and comfort when playing sports, especially Hockey. “D” has been offered the opportunity of a lifetime to attend the Boston Hockey Academy and Notre Dame Academy in the fall. Of course, all of this comes at a challenging cost for any family, but for a single parent of three who now has the sudden added expense of the loss of their beloved pet, it is especially difficult.
Our friend is a hard worker and never asks for anything. She works all hours of the day and night to provide for her family and to make “D’s” dream come true. Our intention with this GoFundMe is to show this young man that people do care about him and his family. We have set a goal to raise $12,000 to help defray the veterinary costs and allow Amanda time to be with her children during this emotionally and mentally stressful period.
Let’s band together as a community and give this young man and his family something to look forward to!
