Margot Beats Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Margot Choltco is an archaeologist, an artist and a mom. And she has cancer. She has been undergoing treatment--chemo and radiation--for several months.
Even with health insurance, she has accumulated tens of thousands of dollars owed in medical bills. In addition, she hasn't been able to work full-time for over a year.
Her family includes her two daughters, Josephine, 12, and Viktoria, 11, her stepson Clifford, 12, and beautiful baby Clyde, who was born on Dec. 1, 2017.
Donated funds will go toward covering Margot's medical bills, and supporting cost-of-living expenses for her family. This GoFundMe is being managed and administered by Brad Bynum, Margot's life partner and Clyde's father. He'll transfer the money to her and use the funds to pay medical bills covering chemo and radiation treatments, and doctor consultations. He'll also use the funds to cover household expenses, like utility bills and groceries, in the home that he and Margot and their four children share.
To help raise awareness for Margot's story and to give back to the community who has already shown her so much love and support, Margot's family is organizing a benefit concert, The Lake's Crossing Rock & Pop Festival, to be held on her birthday, June 9, at Wingfield Park in downtown Reno. The concert will feature some of Reno's best bands, including Fall Silent, Elephant Rifle, Stirr Lightly and more. The event will also feature beer donated by Pinon Bottle Co., and proceeds from beer sales will benefit Margot. A small percentage of donated funds will be used to cover the production costs of the event. The concert will be free and open to the public, although we will ask for donations with a suggested minimum donation of $10.
Margot is a vivacious spirit, a loving mother, an engaging intellect, and an active member of her community. Please help support her and her family during this time of need. Thank you.
