Maria C. Marquez Funeral Expenses

Maria Carmen Marquez was a loving daughter, a dedicated mother, and a wonderful human being to many who had the pleasure of calling her ‘friend.’ She will forever be remembered by the beautiful memories she created by mentoring students and parents in our public schools and the Logan Square Community. For many years she fought for social justice alongside Richie, her world and only son. She was such an inspiration that she graduated as a Grow Your Own Teacher because she knew the importance of education in our lives and wanted Richie to see that everything is possible with a bit of dedication and hard work.

Her smile was intoxicating and full of love. We will always remember your strength as a single mom, a community advocate, and just an amazing person who always had goodwill toward all. Rest in peace our beloved Maria, you were a wonderful daughter, mother, and friend. It is never easy to say goodbye to someone, especially when Maria's passing was unexpected. Now Richie is left with worry about his mother's service.

As Maria showed up for many in our community in our times of need, I ask that we come together and help with any donation to help with the service and funeral arrangements. Maria was such a giving person and in this time of need, I know that you will find it in your hearts to help.
